1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Volar Bikes website (volarbikes.com) and to bookings you make with us online, including booking a time to collect a bike. They are provided by Rixer and Bokhari Group Pty Ltd (ACN 669 577 422), trading as Volar Bikes (we, us, our), of 70 Victoria Street, Richmond VIC 3121.
These terms do not govern the hire of our equipment. Any rental is governed by a separate Hire Agreement (including its terms and conditions of equipment hire), which you will review and sign before collecting a bike. If there is any inconsistency between these terms and a signed Hire Agreement, the Hire Agreement prevails in relation to the hire.
2. Bookings and quotes
- A pickup booking reserves a time for you to visit our store. It is a request only — it does not create a rental contract, and no payment is taken online.
- Bikes, equipment and packages are subject to availability.
- Quotes provided by our team (including via WhatsApp or social media) are indicative, are valid for 48 hours unless stated otherwise, and are not binding until a Hire Agreement is signed.
- We may need to reschedule or cancel a booking. If we do, we will contact you using the details you provided.
- If you cannot make your booking, please let us know as early as possible so we can offer the time to another rider.
3. Communications
By submitting a booking or enquiry, you agree that we may contact you by SMS, WhatsApp, phone or email about your booking, enquiry or rental (non-marketing communications). Marketing communications are only sent with your consent, and you can opt out at any time. Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Website content
- Information on our website is general in nature and may change without notice.
- Rental prices shown are "from" prices based on our longest advertised plans; your exact price depends on your package, contract length and payment preference, and will be confirmed in your quote and Hire Agreement.
- We take care to keep the website accurate but do not guarantee it is free of errors or omissions.
5. Intellectual property
The content of our website — including the Volar name, logo, images and text — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce it for commercial purposes without our written consent.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of the website or from a booking, including reliance on website content, other than liability arising under a signed Hire Agreement.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
